Greetings ~

I bought this John Deere lawn tractor several months ago. I have a fair size yard to mow plus sometimes I go about a half mile up our road to cut our son's grass at his place. I wanted something to shade me from the sun and this tractor just happened to have the holes for a canopy that can be bought as an accessory. I really didn't feel like paying the high prices just to get a green canopy with the John Deere logo on it. So, I did what I always do when things are too expensive...I make them myself.
Actually, as long as the tractor has the holes for the canopy already, it's not real hard to make it. Four dowel rods and a few pieces of project wood and your done. Plus, you'll need a tarp. If you have a John Deere tractor, chances are, it's green. So a green tarp is just the thing.

NOTE:

I'm not giving measurements on this blog as different tractors will take different size wood and hardware. Just measure your unit sizes and go from there.
